Pinpoint Test K - Memory Seat Diagnosis
NOTE:
DO NOT
run any PINPOINT TESTS unless directed by QUICK TESTS.
- Enter permanent code. Press and hold 7/8 button on keypad. Press and release 5/6 button. Release 7/8 button. Place seat in third memory position using seat switch. Press UNLOCK button on first transmitter programmed. If seat moves to programmed position, system is okay, continue with Quick Test. If seat does not move to proper position, go to next step.
- Enter permanent code. Press and hold 7/8 button on keypad. Press and release 5/6 button. Release 7/8 button. Disconnect control module connector J1. Disconnect memory seat switch connector. Check for continuity between pin No. 8 of connector and Brown/Light Green wire of seat switch. Check for continuity between pin No. 21 of connector and Black/Orange wire of seat switch. If continuity exists, go to next step. If no continuity exists, repair open in suspect wire(s).
- Disconnect control module connector J1. Disconnect memory seat switch connector. Momentarily connect jumper between pins No. 14 and No. 21 on J1 connector. Measure voltage between Brown/Light Green wire, Black/Orange wire of seat switch and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace control module and repeat Quick Test. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair short in suspect wire(s) and repeat Quick Test
