Removal & Installation

  1. Remove distributor cap, if necessary. Disconnect TPS from wiring harness. Mark throttle body and TPS for reassembly reference. Remove mounting screws and TPS. To install, slide rotary tangs of TPS into position over throttle shaft blade with wires pointing down. Rotate TPS clockwise to installed position.
  2. Failure to install TPS in this manner may result in excessive idle speeds. Align marks on throttle body and TPS. Secure TPS to throttle assembly with retaining screws. Reconnect wiring.
