Inertia Latch System
The inertia latch system is modular, it does not require customer or dealer adjustments or maintenance. DO NOT lubricate the latch system. Lubricating the mechanism will adversely affect free rotation of the locking arms. The only authorized service permitted on the inertia and manual latch mechanism is the following:
- Tightening of all retaining screws to specification.
- Replacement (in entirety) of a damaged or non-functional latch assembly.
- Removal of any foreign material, such as tie straps, pieces of foam and trim. See Fig 1 .
