Master Switch

  1. Remove switch from vehicle. Test with a self-powered test light or ohmmeter. With switch in the NEUTRAL position, there should be continuity between terminals No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 and terminals No. 10 and 11. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Press raised portion of rocker switch (closed position). Continuity should exist between terminals No. 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 and terminals No. 3, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11. See Fig 1 .
  3. Press depressed portion of rocker switch (open position). Continuity should exist between terminals No. 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 and terminals No. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 11. See Fig 1 .
  4. Depress lock-out switch to detent position. Terminal No. 10 should not have continuity with any other terminal. See Fig 1 . See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If switch does not test as described, replace switch.
