Error Code "03", In-Car Temperature Sensor

  1. Symptoms associated with this code are cold air being discharged when heat is selected, or warm air discharged when A/C is selected. Unplug in-car temperature sensor. Measure resistance across sensor terminals. See IN-CAR & AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table.

  2. If sensor resistance is NOT as specified, replace sensor. If sensor resistance is okay, remove negative battery cable. Check wiring between sensor and control assembly for shorts or open. Repair as necessary.
