Lamp-Out Module Diagnostics: Notes
- Check bulbs. Turn ignition on. Turn on low beam headlights. Step on brake pedal. Go to step 2) if headlights, brakelights or taillights do not come on. Go to step 3) if headlights, brakelights and taillights come on.
- Disconnect lamp-out module. Replace lamp-out module if lights now come on. If lights still do not come on, service wiring, switches, fuses or sockets as necessary.
- Check warning indicators. If warning indicators are illuminated, go to step 4). Go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE "B" if warning indicators are not illuminated.
- Turn ignition and lights off. Disconnect lamp-out module. Turn ignition and lights on. If any outage warning still appears, check circuits No. 130, 132 and 135 for shorts to ground. See Figure . Go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE "A" if no outage warning appears.
NOTE:
Make all voltage measurements with Digital Volt/Ohmmeter 014-00407, 007-00001 or other equivalent digital voltmeter.
