Diagnostic Testing

NOTE: To perform diagnostic testing, an analog volt/ohmmeter, a jumper lead and a test light with No. 194 bulb must be used. Use of any other type of testing equipment may damage system or give false readings.

Construct test light using a No. 194 bulb, one lead with a pointed probe end and the other lead with a clip end. Connect test light before cycling ignition switch from "RUN" to "OFF" position.

When performing tests, observe when ignition switch is cycled, ensure that the module vent solenoid timer and compressor timer are operating properly.

Perform tests without disconnecting the harness at the module connector, unless stated in individual tests. The compressor relay, vent solenoid and height sensor have internal diodes for noise suppression. DO NOT reverse polarity.
