Description & Operation
The keyless entry system enables vehicle to be locked and unlocked without the use of a key. A row of buttons on driver's door controls system operation. Pressing correct combination will unlock driver's door and turn on courtesy lights.
Pressing other buttons opens or locks all doors and opens trunk lid. System will automatically lock all doors when all doors are closed, ignition is on, driver's seat is occupied, and vehicle is placed gear.
System components include driver's seat switch, keypad, wiring harnesses, and a keyless entry module. On Town Car, module is located behind right side kick panel. Module is located below rear package shelf in the luggage compartment on all other models. Also included are power door locks and power trunk release.
