Column Shift

  1. Place selector lever in "DRIVE" (Overdrive on AOD) position. Make sure selector lever remains against stop by hanging an 8 lbs. (3.6 kg) weight on selector lever.
  2. Loosen shift rod adjusting bolt (or nut). Push manual transmission lever downward to lowest position (2nd detent from full counterclockwise position).

  3. Ensure the slotted rod end has flats aligned with flats on mounting stud, if equipped. Ensure selector lever has not moved from Drive (C-3 and C-5) or Overdrive (AOD) position. Tighten bolt (or nut) and check operation in all selector detent positions.
