Anti-Lock Brake System: Description

The four wheel anti-lock brake system for Continental and Mark VII is a compact integral power brake system that uses brake fluid for both the braking function and the hydraulic boost.

The brake system is divided into 3 circuits with individual front brake circuits and a combined rear brake circuit. Major component parts of the system include: master cylinder and hydraulic booster, electric pump and accumulator, valve body assembly, electronic controller, reservoir, and four wheel sensors.
