DTC P060E-49: Internal Control Module Throttle Position Performance Internal Electronic Failure [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. None

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

      Post-procedure1

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    See step  2

  2. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P060E-49) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Wait 16 seconds or more.

      Procedure1

    5. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      P060E-49 is output B

      Post-procedure1

    6. None

    Result: 

    A 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]
