Pattern Select Switch Launch Control Circuit [03/2019 - 09/2020]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Launch Mode Switch.

   Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

   Tester Display
   Launch Mode Switch

5. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

   OK

   Condition	Launch Mode Switch
   LAUNCH control switch pushed and held	ON
   LAUNCH control switch not pushed	OFF

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [09/2014 - ] 

Result: 

NG

1. Inspect the combination switch assembly (LAUNCH control switch).

   Refer to INSPECTION [03/2019 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the combination switch assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A77-16 (LNCI) - O78-3 (SNSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A77-16 (LNCI) or O78-3 (SNSW) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the combination switch assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   O78-16 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG
