DCM Data Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and DCM [11/2017 - 09/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the O162 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
    2. Disconnect the O148 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O162-3 (USBG) - O148-11 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-4 (VOT+) - O148-13 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-5 (USBV) - O148-10 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-7 (VOT-) - O148-14 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-8 (VOR-) - O148-16 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-9 (VOR+) - O148-26 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-3 (USBG) or O148-11 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-4 (VOT+) or O148-13 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-5 (USBV) or O148-10 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-7 (VOT-) or O148-14 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-8 (VOR-) or O148-16 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-9 (VOR+) or O148-26 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU - DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the O162 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to DCM (Telematics Transceiver))
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation ECU)
    2. Disconnect the O161 navigation ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O162-1 (USB-) - O161-2 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-2 (USB+) - O161-1 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-6 (USBS) - O161-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      O162-1 (USB-) or O161-2 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-2 (USB+) or O161-1 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O162-6 (USBS) or O161-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2017 - 09/2020]
