1. Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.

   Procedure1

2. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

   Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

   Tester Display
   Engine Oil Temperature Sensor

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   The value of Engine Oil Temperature Sensor is -40°C	A
   None of the above conditions are met	B

   HINT: 

   -40°C (-40°F)

   Post-procedure1

3. None

Result: 

A 

REPLACE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR (TEMPERATURE SENSOR). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

1. Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.

   Procedure1

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C7-2 (TOUT) or C37-74 (THEO) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   NG
