- CHECK THAT MIL IS ILLUMINATED
- Perform troubleshooting in accordance with the table below.

- Perform troubleshooting in accordance with the table below.
- CHECK COMMUNICATION BETWEEN GTS AND ECM
- Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the GTS on.
- Check the communication between the GTS and ECM.
HINT:
It can be checked using the "Engine" item of the Data List.

- CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS
- Perform the Health Check using the GTS.
- Check if any DTCs have been detected. Note down any DTCs.

- READ VALUE USING GTS
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
HINT:
Disconnect the connector of the MIL that illuminated during the 1 trip.
- Check the Data List when the DTC has been entered to forcefully cause the MIL to illuminate.

MIL Condition Proceed to Off → Turns on Before entering DTC → After entering DTC A Other than above - B HINT:
- If the MIL turns on, ECM requests the combination meter to illuminate the MIL.
- Clear the DTC after work is complete.
