        *a Check Jig
        *b Cloth
      3. When an auto up or manual up operation is performed to fully close the door glass, check that the glass stops momentarily when it contacts the end of the hammer, lowers via a down operation and then stops.

        HINT:

        • If jamming occurs when the manual up operation is performed at each seat or when the manual up operation is performed using the all window switch, the window goes down approximately 25 mm (0.9843 in.) or more for approximately 5 seconds from the position where it jammed, and then stops.
        • If jamming occurs other than when the manual up operation is performed at each seat or when the manual up operation is performed using the all window switch, the window goes down approximately 125 mm (4.9213 in.) or more for approximately 5 seconds from the position where it jammed, and then stops.
        • The jam protection function does not operate when the manual up operation is performed at each seat within approximately 4 seconds after the jam protection function has operated when the auto up operation or manual up operation is performed at each seat.

In addition, if the manual up operation is performed again using the all window switch within approximately 4 seconds after the manual up operation is performed using the all window switch and the quarter glass jam protection function operates, the quarter glass jam protection function does not operate again for that quarter glass.

        • The jam protection function does not operate when the manual up operation at each seat or remote manual up operation is performed after the catch protection function has operated. (At this time, the window does not operate in AUTO) In addition, if the manual up operation is performed using the all window switch after the quarter glass catch protection function operates using the all window switch, the quarter glass catch protection function does not operate again for that quarter glass.
      4. While the door glass is lowering, check that the switch of that door or the remote operation using the multiplex network master switch assembly cannot be used to raise the door glass.
  12. CHECK CATCH PROTECTION FUNCTION
    1. Check the basic operation.

      HINT:

The catch protection function operates when the engine switch is on (IG), and when auto down and manual down are operated after the engine switch is turned off.

        HINT:

The catch protection function does not operate when the manual down operation is performed at each seat within approximately 4 seconds after the catch protection function has operated when the auto down operation or manual down operation is performed at each seat. In addition, if the manual down operation is performed using the all window switch within approximately 4 seconds after the quarter glass catch protection function operates using the all window switch, the quarter glass jam protection function does not operate for that quarter glass.

  13. DOOR-LINKED WINDOW CONTROL
    1. Open the driver door or front passenger door and check that the power window automatically moves down approximately 17 mm (0.669 in.).
    2. Close the driver door or front passenger door, and check that the power window automatically moves to the fully closed position.

      HINT:

The door-linked window control will not operate if a power window is open more than approximately 17 mm (0.669 in.). However, in consideration of the backlash of the front door window regulator sub-assembly, if the power window is opened more than approximately 17 mm (0.669 in.) by the door-linked window control, and no other operations are performed, the power window will still automatically move to the fully closed position.

  14. CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION

    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Check that when the all window switch for the sliding roof switch assembly is operated to the UP side that the power windows (all glass panes) go up, and that when operated to the DOWN side, the power windows (all glass panes) go down.
    3. Check that when the all window switch for the sliding roof switch assembly is operated to the second step of the DOWN side that the power windows (all glass panes) perform AUTO DOWN operation, and the power windows (all glass panes) fully open.
    4. Check that when the window lock switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly is pressed, all power windows (all glass panes) are not operated at once.
