Power Seat Power Easy Access System Function does not Operate [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT OPERATION 
    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the front power seat switch assembly.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Power seat functions operate normally A
      All power seat functions do not operate B
      One or more power seat motors do not operate C

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER FLOW CHART (FRONT POWER SEAT DOES NOT OPERATE WITH FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH). Refer to  Front Power Seat does not Operate with Front Power Seat Switch [10/2018 - ]  

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER FLOW CHART (ONE OR MORE POWER SEAT MOTORS DO NOT OPERATE). Refer to  One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate [10/2018 - 07/2022]  

    Result:

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SEAT BELT BUCKLE SW) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Data List

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - IG POWER SUPPLY) 
    1. Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly (Driver Seat))
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      N94-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition Switch ON 11 to 14 V
      N94-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition Switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the f15 position control ECU assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N94-2 (L) - f15-28 (DRDC) Always Below 1 Ω
      N94-2 (L) or f15-28 (DRDC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK SEAT BELT TENSION REDUCER SYSTEM 
    1. Check the seat belt tension reducer system.

      Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [10/2018 - ]

      OK

      Seat belt tension reducer system is normal.

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  6. REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Temporarily replace the position control ECU assembly LH with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Result

  7. CHECK POWER SEAT POWER EASY ACCESS SYSTEM 
    1. Check the power seat power easy access system.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      OK

      Power seat power easy access system is normal.

    Result:

    END (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH WAS DEFECTIVE)

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022] 

  8. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

    2. Inspect the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the f15 position control ECU assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      f15-27 (DBCL) - f7-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      f15-27 (DBCL) or f7-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      f7-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]
