Steering Pad Switch Circuit [07/2022 - ]: Procedure

1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2018 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2018 - ] 

Result: 

OK 

See step  3

1. Disconnect the F20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the S17 forward recognition camera connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   F20-6 (DIST) - S17-3 (LKSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   F20-6 (DIST) or S17-3 (LKSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the S17 forward recognition camera connector.
5. Connect the F20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the F20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   F20-2 (ECC) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Connect the F20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result:
