Installation [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides.
    2. Engage the 3 claws and install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 
    1. Install the engine room ECU outlet duct to the fan shroud assembly.
  5. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

  6. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. Engage the 5 clamps.
    3. Connect the 2 horn connectors and smog ventilation sensor connector.
  7. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Connect the 2 cooling fan ECU connectors.
    2. Engage the 6 clamps and connect the engine room main wire to the upper radiator support.
  8. CONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE 
    1. Connect the No. 3 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 4 transmission oil cooler hose to the radiator assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
    2. Connect the oil cooler tube to the fan shroud assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

  9. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  10. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.
    2. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    3. Connect the reserve tank outlet hose to the water inlet housing and slide the clip to secure it.
  12. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  13. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the clamp and connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support.
  14. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  15. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 
    1. Install the inlet No. 1 air cleaner with the bolt and clip.

      Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf/cm, 44 in.lbf) 

  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2015 - ]

  17. CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2015 - ]

  18. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  4

  19. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  20. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 94

  21. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 96

  22. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

  23. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
