DTC B1455/55: Driver Side Air Outlet Damper FOOT/DEF Control Servo Motor Circuit [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Operate the mode switch.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List.
    6. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List

      When the mode switch is operated, the actual pulse changes following the target pulse.

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2017 - ]

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 09/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2020 - ]

      HINT: 

      Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a new or known good one and check that the condition returns to normal.

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

      DTC B1455/55 is output A
      DTC B1455/55 is not output B

    Result: 

    END (NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)

  3. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the air conditioning harness assembly.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 09/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2020 - ]

      HINT: 

      Since the air conditioning harness assembly cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the air conditioning harness assembly with a new or known good one and check that the condition returns to normal.

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

      DTC B1455/55 is not output B

    Result: 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

    END (AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE) 

  4. RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B1455/55 is output A
      DTC B1455/55 is not output B

    Result: 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]
