Diagnosis System [10/2014 - 09/2017]

  1. CHECK DLC3 
    1. Check the DLC3.

      Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  2. FUNCTION OF WARNING INDICATOR AND MESSAGE 
    1. If the pre-collision system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS warning indicator and a warning message on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.

      ON Pre-collision System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer This message is displayed when the driving support ECU assembly detects a system malfunction Flashes
      OFF Pre-collision System Unavailable This message is displayed when the driving support ECU assembly is in fail-safe mode

      - Flashes
    2. Initial check
      1. The initial check occurs when the engine switch is off for more than 2 seconds, and then turned on (IG). The initial check consists of a pre-collision system diagnostic check with a duration of approximately 3 seconds.
      2. If a malfunction is detected during the initial check, the multi-information display will display "Pre-collision System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" or "Pre-collision System Unavailable".
    3. Constant check
      1. The driving support ECU assembly constantly monitors the pre-collision system for malfunctions after the engine switch is turned on (IG) and the initial check (approximately 3 seconds) has completed.
      2. "Pre-collision System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" or "Pre-collision System Unavailable" is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly when the constant check detects malfunctions in the pre-collision system.
