- INITIALIZATION NOTE:
- Before replacing the ECM, store the heavy knock history. After replacement, write the heavy knock history to the new ECM.

- Initialize the heavy knock history after replacing the piston rings.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [05/2019 - ]
- Perform Registration (VIN registration) after replacing the ECM.

- After replacing the ECM, perform transaxle compensation, reset memory (learned values) and road test.

- Before replacing the ECM, store the heavy knock history. After replacement, write the heavy knock history to the new ECM.
- WHEN USING TECHSTREAM WARNING:
Observe the following items for safety reasons:
- Before using the Techstream, read the instruction manual.
- Prevent the Techstream cable from being caught on the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel when driving with the Techstream connected to the vehicle.
- When driving the vehicle for testing purposes using the Techstream, 2 persons are required. One drives the vehicle, and the other operates the Techstream.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
- After the engine switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

HINT:
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
- After the engine switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
- COOLING FAN SYSTEM WARNING:
The cooling fans may continue to operate after the engine switch is turned off. Be careful not to bring your hands or tools near the cooling fans while they are operating.
HINT:
The cooling fans may continue to operate for up to 2 minutes after the engine switch is turned off if the following conditions are met after driving under high load:
- The engine coolant temperature is extremely high.
- The outside air temperature is extremely high.
