Removal [10/2014 - 05/2019]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - 05/2019]
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE BATTERY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly.
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE ECM
- Disengage the lock, pull down the lever and disconnect the 2 connectors from the ECM.
*a Push *b Lock NOTE:After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.
- Remove the 3 bolts and ECM.NOTE:
Replace with a new part if it is dropped or if it receives a strong impact.
- Disengage the lock, pull down the lever and disconnect the 2 connectors from the ECM.
- REMOVE NO. 1 ECM BRACKET
- REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
