Removal [12/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - 10/2020]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2017 - 09/2018]

  4. REMOVE TOOL BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  6. REMOVE LOWER INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  7. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER CATCH BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  8. REMOVE REAR STEERING CONTROL ECU 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the rear steering control ECU.

      HINT: 

      When disconnecting the connector with lock lever, pull out the lock of the lock lever and turn the lock lever as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the 3 nuts and rear steering control ECU.
