Installation [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
1. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, temporarily install the generator assembly with the 2 stud bolts.
2. Tighten the 2 stud bolts.
  Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
3. Install the 2 bolt and 2 nuts.
  Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
4. Connect the engine wire to the terminal B with the nut.
  Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf)
5. Connect the generator assembly connector.
6. Connect wire harness and install the 4 bolts.
  Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
7. Install the terminal cap.
8. Attach the clamp.
9. Connect the engine wire with the bolt.
  Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)
INSTALL AIR CLEANER SUPPORT BRACKET ASSEMBLY
1. Install the air cleaner support bracket assembly with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE WIRE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 112 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 112 [09/2018 - 10/2020]
INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2017 - ]
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
