DTC U0134: Lost Communication with DRS Module; DTC U0134-87: Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module Rear Missing Message [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (REAR STEERING CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the P4 rear steering control ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P4-6 (CN2+) - P4-7 (CN2-) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR STEERING CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR
