DTC B2362: Lost Communication with overhead Module [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Proceed to
      DTC B2362 is output
      DTC B2362 is not output

    Result: 

    DTC B2362 is not output 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    DTC B2362 is output

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N7 map light sub-assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N7-19 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N7-22 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU]) 
    1. Disconnect the G13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Disconnect the N7 map light sub-assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G13-11 (CXP2) - N7-20 (MPX) Always Below 1 Ω
      G13-11 (CXP2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. REPLACE MAP LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily replace the map light sub-assembly with a new or normally functioning one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - ]

      Result

  6. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs

  7. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes

      DTC B2362 is not output

    Result: 

    DTC B2362 is output 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    DTC B2362 is not output 

    END (MAP LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
