DTC B2353-87: Power Integration No. 2 System Missing Message; DTC B2362-87: Overhead Module Missing Message [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check the vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

  3. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the N7 map light assembly connector.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

      Procedure1

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      B2353-87 and B2362-87 are output A
      B2362-87 is output B

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - ]

  4. CHECK SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the G97 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

      Procedure1

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      B2352-87 and B2362-87 are output A
      B2353-87 is output B

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    REPLACE SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CXPI COMMUNICATION LINE) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the G206 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Disconnect the N7 map light assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the G97 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.

      Procedure1

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G97-7 (CXPI) - G206-13 (CXP2) Always Below 1 Ω
      G97-7 (CXPI) or G206-13 (CXP2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    5. None

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the A67 and G97 semiconductor power integration ECU connectors.

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G97-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A67-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      G97-9 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      G97-9 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Disconnect the G97 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    4. Disconnect the G206 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

      Procedure1

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G97-7 (CXPI) - G206-13 (CXP2) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the N7 map light assembly connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N7-19 (+B) - Body ground Always 10.5 to 16 V*1
      11 to 14 V*2

      *1: w/ Stop and Start System

      *2: w/o Stop and Start System

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the N7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G206 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N7-20 (MPX) - G206-13 (CXP2) Always Below 1 Ω
