Radio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [01/2017 - 04/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P46-13 (CANH) - P46-14 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Result 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P43-1 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2017 - 04/2020]

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      P43-4 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      P43-15 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      P46-19 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Result
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
