Disassembly [08/2019 - 08/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Steering Lock Actuator Assembly) 
    1. Secure the steering column assembly in a vise between aluminum plates and cloths.
      NOTE:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

    2. Using a drill, drill a hole in the steering lock set bolt and insert a screw extractor.
    3. Using the screw extractor, remove the 2 steering lock set bolts and steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly.

  2. REMOVE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.
