- FUNCTION OF WARNING INDICATOR AND MESSAGE
- If the pre-collision system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS warning light and a warning message displayed on the multi-information display.
Warning Message Detail DTC PCS warning light "Pre-Collision System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" is displayed Pre-collision system malfunctioning Stored Illuminates "Pre-Collision System Unavailable" Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly misaligned Not stored Blinks Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly temperature malfunction - When the ambient temperature of the millimeter wave radar sensor is -30°C or less, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely cold environment
- When the ambient temperature of the millimeter wave radar sensor is 70°C or higher, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely hot environment
Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly low voltage malfunction - When the input voltage is approximately 10 V or less, such as immediately after starting the engine
- When the input voltage is approximately 16 V or higher, such as immediately after starting the engine
"Pre-Collision System Unavailable Clean Sensor" Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is dirty - When something other than the specified radar sensor cover for the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is being used
- When there is dirt, water droplets, snow, or other foreign matter attached to the front of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, radar sensor cover or front and back of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cover
- When accessories, stickers (including transparent stickers) or other objects are attached near the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, radar sensor cover or millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cover
Not stored Blinks During bad weather (such as rain or snow) - The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cannot recognize conditions around the vehicle due to snow, rain, etc.
"Front Camera Unavailable" Outside of forward recognition camera guaranteed operating voltage - When the input voltage is approximately 9 V or less, such as immediately after starting the engine
- When the input voltage is approximately 17 V or higher, such as immediately after starting the engine
Not stored Blinks Outside of forward recognition camera guaranteed operating temperature - When the ambient temperature of the forward recognition camera is approximately -30°C or less, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely cold environment
- When the ambient temperature of the forward recognition camera is approximately 85°C or higher, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely hot environment

- If the pre-collision system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS warning light and a warning message displayed on the multi-information display.
- INITIAL CHECK
- An initial check is performed when the engine switch is off for more than 2 seconds and then turned on (IG). The initial check consists of a pre-collision system diagnostic check with a duration of approximately 3 seconds.
- If a malfunction is detected during the initial check, the PCS warning light in the combination meter assembly will illuminate and a warning message indicating the pre-collision system is malfunctioning or disabled will be displayed on the multi-information display.
- CONSTANT CHECK
- The driving support ECU assembly constantly monitors the pre-collision system for malfunctions after the engine switch is turned on (IG) and the initial check (approximately 3 seconds) has completed.
- If a malfunction is detected during the constant check, the PCS warning light in the combination meter assembly will illuminate and a warning message indicating the pre-collision system is malfunctioning or disabled will be displayed on the multi-information display.
