DCM Data Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and DCM [06/2018 - 10/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the G109 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.

    2. Disconnect the G2 and G119 radio receiver assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G109-1 (USB-) - G119-2 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-2 (USB+) - G119-1 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-6 (USBS) - G119-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-3 (USBG) - G2-11 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-4 (VOT+) - G2-13 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-5 (USBV) - G2-10 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-7 (VOT-) - G2-14 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-8 (VOR-) - G2-16 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-9 (VOR+) - G2-15 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-1 (USB-) or G119-2 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-2 (USB+) or G119-1 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-6 (USBS) or G119-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-3 (USBG) or G2-11 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-4 (VOT+) or G2-13 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-5 (USBV) or G2-10 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-7 (VOT-) or G2-14 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-8 (VOR-) or G2-16 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-9 (VOR+) or G2-15 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the G109 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G1 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G109-3 (USBG) - G1-11 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-4 (VOT+) - G1-13 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-5 (USBV) - G1-10 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-7 (VOT-) - G1-14 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-8 (VOR-) - G1-16 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-9 (VOR+) - G1-15 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-3 (USBG) or G1-11 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-4 (VOT+) or G1-13 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-5 (USBV) or G1-10 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-7 (VOT-) or G1-14 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-8 (VOR-) or G1-16 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-9 (VOR+) or G1-15 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the G109 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.

    2. Disconnect the G108 navigation ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G109-1 (USB-) - G108-2 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-2 (USB+) - G108-1 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-6 (USBS) - G108-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      G109-1 (USB-) or G108-2 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-2 (USB+) or G108-1 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G109-6 (USBS) or G108-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
