  1. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION 
    • The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, cushion length* and lumbar support adjustment functions.
      1. *: w/ Cushion Switch
    • The memory call function uses the key ID code of each electrical key transmitter sub-assembly to memorize and recall the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.
  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT 
    Component Function
    Position control ECU assembly LH Receives position signals from the position sensors. Outputs seat adjuster signals to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly LH, front seatback frame sub-assembly LH or lumbar support adjuster assembly LH to adjust the seat accordingly.
    Separate type front seat cushion spring assembly LH Slide motor Receives signals from the position control ECU assembly, and slides the seat forward and rearward.
    Front vertical motor Receives signals from the position control ECU assembly, and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion.
    Lifter motor Receives signals from the position control ECU assembly, and raises and lowers the seat cushion.
    Seat length motor* Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly, and slide the seat cushion forward and rearward.
    Front seatback frame sub-assembly LH Reclining motor Receives signals from the position control ECU assembly, and tilts the seatback forward and rearward.
    Position sensor Built into each motor and send position signals to the position control ECU assembly to detect the position of the seat.
    Lumbar support adjuster assembly LH Receives signals from the position control ECU assembly and operates the built-in motor to adjust the lumbar support.
    Seat memory switch If the SET switch is being pressed when one of the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switches is pressed, or if one of the M1, M2 or M3 switches is pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch, the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH sends the signals so that the seat position can be stored.
    Then, when a seat memory switch is pressed, a signal is sent to the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH and the seat position changes according to memory.

  3. SYSTEM OPERATION 

    The front power seat functions which can be operated by the power seat motors and memorized are shown below.

    1. *: w/ Cushion Switch

    The seat memory switch sends memory switch information to the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH. Then the information is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN communication and then an instruction to memorize the seat position is sent to the position control ECU assembly via CAN communication. As a result, the seat position is memorized.
