DTC P2756-14: Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Short to Ground or Open [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU) 
    1. Disconnect the C25 transmission wire connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Transmission Wire)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4 (SLU+) - 9 (SLU-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      4 (SLU+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      9 (SLU-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Connect the C25 transmission wire connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM) 
    1. Disconnect the C36 TCM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C36-6 (SLU+) - C36-5 (SLU-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      C36-6 (SLU+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C36-5 (SLU-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Connect the C36 TCM connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPLACE TCM 
    1. Replace the TCM.

      Refer to COMPONENTS [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    PERFORM REGISTRATION AND INITIALIZATION 

    for Registration: Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

    for Initialization: Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  4. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the C25 transmission wire connector.

      *1 Transmission Valve Body Assembly *2 Shift Solenoid Valve SLU
      *3 Transmission Wire - -
      *a Shift Solenoid Valve Side *b Wire Harness Connector Side
    2. Disconnect the transmission wire connector from the shift solenoid valve SLU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (shift solenoid valve side) - 4 (SLU+) (wire harness connector side) Always Below 1 Ω
      2 (shift solenoid valve side) - 9 (SLU-) (wire harness connector side) Always Below 1 Ω
      1 (shift solenoid valve side) or 4 (SLU+) (wire harness connector side) - All other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      2 (shift solenoid valve side) or 9 (SLU-) (wire harness connector side) - All other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2018 - 07/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. REPLACE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the transmission valve body assembly.

      Refer to COMPONENTS [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Result

    PERFORM REGISTRATION AND INITIALIZATION 

    for Registration: Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]
