DTC B1563: Haptic Device Disconnected [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check for optional components.
      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        HINT: 

        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

  3. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the O76 remote operation controller assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O76-4 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O76-14 (ACC) - O76-4 (GND) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the O76 remote operation controller assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the O71 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O76-10 (TX+) - O71-18 (TX2+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O76-11 (TX-) - O71-19 (TX2-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O76-10 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O76-11 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      OK
      NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. REPLACE REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the remote operation.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - 11/2017]
