Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2019 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2019 - ]

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2015 - 03/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2018 - ]

  4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2019 - ]

  5. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 inverter drain hose clamps.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and inlet air cleaner assembly from the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

  6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2019 - ]

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts from the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

    2. Disconnect the intake mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.

      *a Wire Harness Clamp
      *b Grommet
    3. Disengage the wire harness clamp and grommet to separate the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
    4. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

      *1 No. 1 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose
      *2 No. 2 Ventilation Hose
    5. Disengage the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose from the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
    6. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  9. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

      *1 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose
    2. Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  10. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET 
    1. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
