DTC B1579: Voice Recognition Microphone Disconnected [11/2017 - 11/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Radio Receiver Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O144-22 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2017 - 10/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the O65 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    2. Disconnect the W14 telephone microphone assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O65-35 (MCI-) - W14-4 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O65-35 (MCI-) or W14-4 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the O144 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the O65 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O144-22 (MIN-) - O65-19 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O144-22 (MIN-) or O65-19 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the O144 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the W14 telephone microphone assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O144-25 (SNS2) - W14-3 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      O144-25 (SNS2) or W14-3 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Reconnect the O65 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    2. Reconnect the O144 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (DCM (Telematics Transceiver))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O65-35 (MCI-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

    Result:

    REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2017 - 11/2019] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the O144 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the W14 telephone microphone assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O144-25 (SNS2) - W14-3 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      O144-22 (MIN-) - W14-4 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O144-25 (SNS2) or W14-3 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O144-22 (MIN-) or W14-4 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  8. INSPECT TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the telephone microphone assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3 (SNS2) - 4 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
