Open in Bus 4 Main Bus Line [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 4 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the G66 central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G66-22 (CA2H) - G66-7 (CA2L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 4 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 4 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G66 central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G122 No. 4 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      G122-12 (CANH) - G122-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 12 CAN junction connector
      G122-15 (CANH) - G122-4 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 14 CAN junction connector

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 12 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G122 No. 4 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the L117 No. 12 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      L117-2 (CANH) - L117-8 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 4 CAN junction connector
      L117-3 (CANH) - L117-9 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 2 CAN junction terminal

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL - NO. 12 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the L117 No. 12 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the L122 No. 2 CAN junction terminal connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L122-3 (CANH) - L122-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL - NO. 12 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  5. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 14 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G122 No. 4 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the L119 No. 14 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      L119-1 (CANH) - L119-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 1 CAN junction terminal
      L119-2 (CANH) - L119-12 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 4 CAN junction connector

  6. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 1 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL - NO. 14 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the L119 No. 14 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the L121 No. 1 CAN junction terminal connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L121-3 (CANH) - L121-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
