Security Indicator Light Does not Blink [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical or Powertrain / Smart Access or Engine / Trouble Codes.
5. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Smart Access > Trouble Codes 

   Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   DTCs are not output.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2017 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2022 - 10/2023]

1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Active Test.
2. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

1. Disconnect the G71 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
2. Disconnect the G80 security indicator light (air conditioning control assembly) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   G71-20 (IND) - G80-15 (LP)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G71-20 (IND) or G80-15 (LP) - Other terminals and body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Reconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
2. Reconnect the G80 security indicator light (air conditioning control assembly) connector.
3. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.
