Removal [04/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2016 - 10/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2014 - 08/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2016 - 10/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE UPPER SHOCK ABSORBER CAP 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and separate the upper shock absorber cap.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Separate the wire harness and remove the upper shock absorber cap.
  4. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR 
    1. Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise 40° to remove it from the front actuator support bracket.

      *A for 2WD *B for AWD
      *a 40° - -
      NOTE:
      • Do not turn the absorber control actuator more than 40°.
      • Do not drop the absorber control actuator. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
