Headlight Cleaner Motor and Relay Circuit [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).

   HINT: 

   The headlight cleaner system operates when the front wiper washer switch (windshield wiper switch) is turned on for the first time. After that, the headlight cleaner system cannot be operated with the front wiper washer switch (windshield wiper switch) until the engine switch is turned off and then turned on (IG).

   OK

   Headlight cleaner operates.

Result: 

OK 

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

(Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2015 - 08/2019] )

Result: 

NG

1. Remove the headlight cleaner motor (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).

2. Apply battery voltage to the headlight cleaner motor and check the operation of the headlight cleaner motor.

   OK

   Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
   Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1	Headlight cleaner motor operation is normal

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019] )

1. Disconnect the A31 headlight cleaner motor connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   A31-1 - A32-6 (PB)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A32-6 (PB) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

OK
