Caution / Notice / Hint

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during front engine mounting insulator removal/installation are shown below.

Lighting System (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System) Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 07/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2020 - ]
Initialize back door lock Power Door Lock Control System Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - ]
Reset back door close position Power Back Door System (w/ Outside Door Control Switch) Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ]
Replacement of ECM Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration MIL comes on Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ]
ECU communication ID registration (Immobiliser system) Engine start function Refer to REGISTRATION [08/2019 - 07/2021] , or refer to REGISTRATION [07/2021 - ]
Perform the following procedures in the order shown (If possible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM):
  1. Transfer transaxle compensation code
  2. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
  • Large shift shock
  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency

Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ] U881E Registration
Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ] U881F Initialization
Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ] U881F Registration
Perform the following procedures in the order shown (If impossible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM):
  1. Reset transaxle compensation code
  2. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Perform code registration (Immobiliser system)
  • Wireless door lock control system
  • Smart access system with push-button start
  • Engine start function
  • Steering lock system
  • Telematics system
Refer to REGISTRATION [08/2019 - 07/2021] , or refer to REGISTRATION [07/2021 - ]
  • Replacement of throttle body with motor assembly
  • Cleaning the deposits from the throttle body with motor assembly
  • Air leaks from intake system is repaired
  • Gas leak from exhaust system is repaired
Inspection after repair
  • Poor idle, etc.
  • Engine start function, etc.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ]
Front wheel alignment adjustment Calibration
  • VSC disabled or malfunctioning
  • DTCs are output
  • Slip indicator light illuminated
  • ABS warning light illuminated
Refer to CALIBRATION [08/2019 - ]
Suspension, tires, etc.
(The vehicle height changes because of suspension or tire replacement)
  • Ultrasonic sensor detection angle
  • Ultrasonic sensor detection angle registration
  • Intelligent clearance sonar system
  • Intuitive parking assist system (w/ Intelligent Clearance Sonar System)

  • Parking assist ECU initialization
  • Adjust steering angle
Panoramic view monitor system Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ] for Initialization

Initialize No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH Lighting System (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System) Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 07/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2020 - ]
