Open in Bus 2 Main Bus Line [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the G129 No. 9 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      G129-12 (CANH) - G129-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
      G129-16 (CANH) - G129-5 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 13 CAN junction connector

      Result

      NG (No. 13 CAN junction connector CAN main wire) C

    Result: 

    REPLACE NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G129 No. 9 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the G66 central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G66-23 (CA1H) - G66-8 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 13 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G129 No. 9 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the L118 No. 13 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      L118-1 (CANH) - L118-7 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω ECM
      L118-3 (CANH) - L118-9 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 9 CAN junction connector

      Result

      NG (ECM CAN main wire) B
      NG (No. 9 CAN junction connector CAN main wire) C

    Result: 

    REPLACE NO. 13 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (NO. 13 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR)

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (ECM - NO. 13 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the L118 No. 13 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the A95 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A95-18 (CANH) - A95-17 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (ECM - NO. 13 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR)
