DTC C1A22: Object Recognition Camera Incorrect Axial Gap; DTC C1A23: Object Recognition Camera Initialization Incomplete [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. ADJUST LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Adjust the lane recognition camera (See service information). Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

    Result:  NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs (See service information). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

      1. Drive the vehicle at a 50 km/h (31 mph) or more, and operate lane-keeping assist system.
    2. Check for DTCs (See service information). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

      OK

      DTC C1A22 or C1A23 are not output.

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

    (See service information). Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2014 - 10/2015] )

    Result:  NG

  3. REPLACE LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the lane recognition camera with a new one (See service information). Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

    Result:  NEXT

  4. ADJUST LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Adjust the lane recognition camera (See service information). Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs (See service information). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

      HINT:

      NOTE:

      When replacing the driving support ECU, always replace it with a new one and be sure to perform initialization (See service information). Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ). If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the ECU will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be stored.
