Back-up Light Circuit [10/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs 

2. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes

   Hybrid control system DTCs are output	B

GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2015 - 08/2016]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2016 - 12/2017]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2017 - 03/2018]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [03/2018 - 08/2019]

1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Disconnect the 2C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the A40 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   2C-19 - A40-2 (BL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   2C-19 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Reconnect the A40 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
2. Reconnect the 2C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   2C-19 - Body ground	Power switch on (IG), shift lever not in R	Below 1 V
   2C-19 - Body ground	Power switch on (IG), shift lever in R	11 to 14 V

   Result
