Indicator Circuit [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Can Bus Check.

      CAN Bus Check 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed B

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    A

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.
    5. Check for DTCs.
    6. Turn the power switch off.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs are output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART 

    Result: 

    A

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Meter Display 1 Multi-information display OFF or All -

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test 

      Tester Display
      Meter Display 1
    6. Turn the power switch off.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      The multi-information display turns on according to the operation of the Active Test A
      The multi-information display does not turn on according to the operation of the Active Test B

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    A

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Lane Control / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Data List

      LDA Control Lane control system control status Prohibit or Permit Prohibit: Control prohibited
      Permit: Control permitted      		 -

      The LTA indicator illuminates and the Data List item LDA Control changes according to the operation of the LTA main switch A
      The LTA indicator does not illuminate but the Data List item LDA Control changes according to the operation of the LTA main switch B
      The LTA indicator does not illuminate and the Data List item LDA Control does not change according to the operation of the LTA main switch C

    Result: 

    A 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    C 

    REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]
