Removal [09/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- Perform Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration when replacing the ECM.
Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ]
- Before replacing the ECM, refer to Registration.
Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - 08/2019]
- If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- Perform Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration when replacing the ECM.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE ECM
- Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
*a Push *b Lock NOTE:After disconnecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
- Disengage the wire harness clamp.
- Remove the 2 bolts and nut to remove the ECM.NOTE:
If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

- Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
- REMOVE NO. 1 ECM BRACKET
- REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
