Cornering Light Circuit [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Active Test

      Cornering light turn on.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - POWER SOURCE OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A98 cornering light assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A98-1 (B) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A98-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the A36 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A98-2 (CRPL) - A36-9 (CRSL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A98-2 (CRPL) or A36-9 (CRSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the cornering light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the cornering light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ] 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - POWER SOURCE OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A97 cornering light assembly RH connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A97-1 (B) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A97-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the A7 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A97-2 (CRPR) - A7-9 (CRSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A97-2 (CRPR) or A7-9 (CRSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  7. INSPECT CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the cornering light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the cornering light assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    REPLACE CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]
