Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. REMOVE FRONT UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. SEPARATE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2014 - 09/2020] , or see step  10 [09/2020 - ]

  10. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn back the luggage compartment trim cover RH until the acceleration sensor assembly can be seen.
    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the bolt and acceleration sensor assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor assembly.
      • Do not drop the acceleration sensor assembly. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
