DTC P17AA: Transfer Shift Motor Control Circuit High [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below

   TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (HIGH-LOW TRANSFER SHIFT MOTOR) SIDE

REPLACE TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

1. Disconnect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the C43 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A28-8 (TM1) or C43-1 (TM1) - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	Below 1 V
   A28-7 (TM2) or C43-2 (TM2) - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	Below 1 V
